I thought I would do a little Thomas Wolfe tribute before the weekend. I am reading Of Time and the River and it's one of the best books I've ever read. I mentioned earlier how I began it but had to put it down because I wasn't feeling well but I am thankful to have picked it up again since it is so rich and philosophical and filled with wonderful language. I am only on page 84ish (I finished the 1st section) and it's one of those slow, ruminating reads that finishes at like 850ish pages.I've always wanted to get to another Thomas Wolfe novel after reading Look Homeward, Angel but what prompted me was after reading the Betty Smith bio--this was one of the books that influenced her since it's about a young boy growing up in Brooklyn. It's a book that (as of yet) some lazy reader might say, "nothing happens" but it is very interesting and I look forward to finishing it and writing the review.
